ABOUT

Hoiyi Lam was born in Hong Kong. She graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in ceramics (program co-organized with the Hong Kong Art School). During her university, she began to develop a strong interest in performance art and then thought about how to combine clay with performance. She has studied ceramics in Tajimi City, Bizen City, Japan, and Jingdezhen, China, exploring the methods and unique features of ceramics in different places. In the spring of 2025, she joined the Setouchi Triennale volunteer team. These experiences have a profound impact on her future creative thinking.

林海怡身於香港，畢業於澳洲皇家墨爾本理工大學純藝術系學士，主修陶瓷(課程與香港藝術學院合辦)，在大學時期開始對行為藝術產生濃烈興趣，繼而思考如何將陶泥與行為結合。她曾到日本多治見市、備前市、中國景德鎮等地進修陶藝，探索不同地方製作陶藝的方法及獨特之處，2025年春天參與瀨戶內海國際藝術際義工隊，這些經歷對她日後的創作思考理念影響深遠。
